In Episode 001: The HPV Game Changer, we talk to scientist-researcher Dr. Erin Kobetz about her early work in cervical cancer prevention and how it foreshadowed the recent emergence of at-home cancer screening kits. Dr. Kobetz, Associate Dean for Population Science and Cancer Disparity at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, part of University of Miami Health System, is pictured here with Dr. Laurinus Pierre. Together, they formed Patnè en Aksyon (Partners in Action) to investigate and address disproportionate rates of cervical cancer for women in the Miami neighborhood of Little Haiti.
